Bruno Fernandes, Mohamed Salah Headline PFA Player Of The Year Nominees

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah are among the six top players shortlisted for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Players’ Player of the Year award.

Despite a disappointing season for Manchester United, which saw them finish 15th in the Premier League, Fernandes earned his spot on the PFA Players’ Player of the Year nominees list after registering eight goals and 10 assists for the Red Devils.

Salah, meanwhile, is aiming to make history by winning the award for a record-breaking third time. The Egyptian forward enjoyed a stellar season, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists to help Liverpool lift the Premier League title.

He is joined on the list by his Liverpool teammate, Alexis Mac Allister, who played a crucial role in the Reds’ midfield.

Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak also made the shortlist following a standout campaign in which he netted 27 goals in 42 appearances, powering the Magpies to a Champions League qualification spot.

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who emerged as a key creative force for the Blues, and Arsenal’s Declan Rice, recognised for his commanding presence in midfield, round off the nominations.

The winner of the 2025 PFA Players’ Player Of The Year award will be unveiled at the Awards ceremony scheduled for 19 August in Manchester.
