Following the recent increase in the level of insecurity, the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has charged the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Police Force, and other security agencies to employ new strategies in curbing insecurity across the country.
According to reports, on the night of June 13, 2025, about three hundred residents of the Yelewata community of Benue State were confirmed dead after individuals suspected to be Fulani herdsmen launched brutal attacks on the community, leading to the loss of numerous lives and properties.
However, according to DAILY POST, a survivor of the attack, identified as Elder Amos, stated that his world ended on the night of the attack, narrating how he, alongside his third son, had escaped death during the massacre, but his wife and other children were not so lucky, as they lost their lives in the course of the onslaught.
According to him, “I escaped with my third son. My wife and other children were not so lucky. My world ended that Friday night.”.CONTINUE READING
