Tinubu: Where Will He Get the Votes? We’re All Hungry. From Lagos To Kano, Uyo, Sokoto – According to Ralph Nwosu

In a powerful remark reflecting the growing discontent across the country, Ralph Okey Nwosu, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), questioned President Bola Tinubu’s chances in 2027. According to a conversation with Vanguard, he cited the economic hardship spreading across Nigeria—from Lagos to Sokoto—as evidence that Nigerians are ready for a change in leadership.

Nwosu emphasized that the only way to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) is for the opposition to unite and present a credible, issue-driven alternative.

He urged political stakeholders to set aside personal ambitions and rally around a common cause. He said he finds it offensive when people claim that it is difficult to win against President Bola Tinubu. “I wonder, how, why? I went to Lagos, and all I hear is ‘Ebi n pa everybody’and this echoes in all parts of the country. So where will he get the votes? We’re all hungry—from the streets in Lagos to Port Harcourt, Kano, Uyo, and Sokoto. Poverty and insecurity occasioned by bad government are devouring the nation,” Nwosu said.

He dismissed the idea that the APC remains invincible, stressing that Nigerians are hungry for a new direction.

Nwosu warned that if the ruling party doesn’t step aside voluntarily, the people will force them out. He described the APC as “a party in delusion” that has failed to address the pressing needs of citizens. The ADC chairman revealed that plans are underway to build a broad-based coalition, welcoming all political parties, including APC, PDP, LP, PRP, and others, into a national rescue mission.

“We want to include everyone,” Nwosu said. “During our National Convention, we will adopt a charter with Nigerians to show it’s no longer business as usual.”

He concluded that unity, integrity, and purposeful leadership are key to repositioning Nigeria for progress and development.
