Wonder turned one, and instead of balloons and a big party first, Kunle Remi and Tiwi marked the day by heading to church for a thanksgiving. Standing before the congregation, Kunle Remi and his wife, Tiwi, shared why this birthday carried weight.
Tiwi spoke plainly about the early days of her pregnancy, marked by bed rest and doctors’ reports that offered more concern than comfort. She talked about learning to protect her home and how that season shifted her understanding of marriage — not in theory, but in practice. Tiwi recalls reaching a point where “science and knowledge could not take us anywhere,” and they had to rely solely on God to keep their family and marriage together.
She shared how it pushed her to be more intentional about her home and her marriage, and how she came to rely on Kunle in ways she hadn’t before.
When Kunle stepped in, he brought warmth and humour, admitting that his plan to film everything before Wonder arrived never stood a chance. There were days when simply getting through the moment mattered more than capturing it. He spoke about learning to trust God fully, even when doubts and outside voices crept in.
The couple welcomed their baby girl, Wonder, on the 4th of January, 2025 after their wedding in January 2024.
