There Are People Who Died And Didn’t Finish-Oyakhilome Tells Why Some People Didn't Have Good Record

In a recent video on YouTube, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President of LoveWorld Incorporated (Christ Embassy), has taught on the importance of completing one’s divine assignment before the end of life. Speaking during a sermon, he drew from the writings of Apostle Paul in the book of 2 Timothy to explain that finishing well is a matter of purpose, not simply of death.

Quoting scripture, Oyakhilome said, “Timothy chapter 4 and verse number 7.”He explained that some believe life’s mission can only be considered complete at the point of death, but challenged that perspective. “Because you—somebody said you will only know you’re finished when you die. No, there are people who died and didn’t finish,” he stated.

He stressed that fulfillment comes from completing the assignment given by God, not merely reaching the end of life. “You don’t have to die to finish. Finish. Finish first. And then die or fly, but finish, right?”Oyakhilome declared.

Turning to Apostle Paul’s testimony, he emphasized how Paul affirmed his mission’s completion before his death. “Look at Paul. He didn’t die before he finished. Look at it. ‘I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith,’” he quoted.

The pastor expressed the desire that all believers should reach this same level of fulfillment. “Oh, may God help every one of us to be able to say this faithfully. Every one of us to confidently say, ‘I have fought a good fight,’” he said.

Oyakhilome encouraged Christians to embrace perseverance and resilience, noting that the challenges of faith are not in vain. “A fight of faith is worth it. A fight of faith is worth it,” he repeated, reinforcing his message.

His sermon centered on the need for believers to remain steadfast, complete their God-given assignments, and be able to look back with confidence at their journey of faith
