Prophetess Funmilayo Kolawole has stated that she endured years of deep pain after losing five of her children under tragic circumstances.
According to a report by Punch on Sunday September 21, 2025, Kolawole said she gave birth to her first child in the 1980s. She said she was told never to cut his hair, however, she cut his hair to treat his lice infestation. She said as the hair began to grow again, the child went to sleep one night and never woke up. She said, “My firstborn arrived in the 1980s, and I was told never to cut his hair. But when lice appeared, I decided to trim it. As his hair grew back, one night he went to sleep and never woke up”
Kolawole said her second child, Ramota, died while she was away searching for her husband and her third child passed away while receiving treatment from a traditional healer in Igboeyin, Epe.
Prophetess Kolawole said people even accused her of having an evil spirit, claiming it was the reason her children kept dying. She revealed that her fourth child was born on May 14, 1993, while in 1999 she had twins. Sadly, one of the twins, Maria, died after falling and hitting her head on the floor. She said, “At one point, I was told that my children kept dying because I had an evil spirit”
