Katz highlighted the challenge posed by Iran’s Fordow uranium enrichment facility, which is built deep underground and believed to be protected against conventional attacks.
He said this site “will certainly be addressed,” implying that Israel may deploy advanced munitions capable of penetrating such fortified locations.
The announcement comes amid the largest Israeli assault on Iran since the 1980s, known as Operation Rising Lion, which has targeted over a dozen locations including nuclear facilities, military bases, and key commanders.
The strikes have reportedly killed hundreds, including top Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists.
Explosions have rocked Tehran and other provinces, damaging critical nuclear sites such as Natanz and Isfahan, as well as missile bases near Tabriz and Kermanshah.
Despite Iran’s claims of downing Israeli jets and shooting down drones, Israel maintains air superiority and control over Tehran’s airspace.
Iran has vowed massive retaliation, launching ballistic missiles and drones at Israeli cities, escalating fears of a wider regional conflict. Israel has issued evacuation orders for civilians near military sites and warned of further strikes.
The ongoing conflict has drawn international attention, with the US supporting Israel’s right to defend itself while urging Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions. European nations have condemned Iran’s nuclear program but called for de-escalation.CONTINUE READING>>>>in
