Nigerians Have Lost Hope,Voters are not decamping, Your 2027 Endorsement Means Nothing–APC Ali Ndume Revealed

According to a report from Channels TV on Monday, June 9, Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South has expressed grave concerns about the current political climate in Nigeria, stating that citizens have lost faith in the government and that the recent endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term holds little significance.

Reflecting on the recent endorsement by 22 APC governors for Tinubu’s candidacy in the 2027 elections, Ndume remarked, “This endorsement means nothing; we have seen it before. Former President Goodluck Jonathan had the backing of 22 governors in 2015 and still lost the election to Muhammadu Buhari.” He emphasized that the political landscape is not solely determined by the support of party leaders but rather by the sentiments of the electorate.

Ndume lamented the worsening economic situation in Nigeria, stating, “Nigerians cannot see any hope; they are doubting the Renewed Hope.” He pointed out the skyrocketing cost of living and rampant insecurity as major factors contributing to this loss of hope. “People are struggling to make ends meet, and the government must acknowledge this reality,” he added.

The senator also expressed his discontent with the decision-making process within the APC, revealing that he left the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa during the endorsement announcement. “I was there for a summit, but when I realized it was about an endorsement, I chose to leave. Just because the majority agrees does not mean it is right,” Ndume stated.

In conclusion, he asserted, “Voters are not decamping; they are watching and waiting for real change.”
