Samuel Danjuma, an APC chieftain, has reacted after former Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s said that he and many Nigerians are hungry because of President Tinubu’s economic policies. In an interview with Daily Trust TV, Danjuma alleged that Amaechi spent ₦30 million to rent the hall where he celebrated his 60th birthday.
Danjuma said someone who claims to be hungry should not be throwing such an expensive party. He said Amaechi should have celebrated his birthday with poor people on the streets if he were truly concerned about them
In Danjuma’s exact words: “You are now beginning to tell Nigerians that you are hungry and you rented a hall of 30 million naira to do your birthday allegedly. So I begin to wonder, what do these people take Nigerians for? Why didn’t he celebrate his birthday with the downtrodden on the streets, then I will really understand that you really feel the pulse of the people”
