Air Peace: Unknown to Them When Those Women Were Crying and Lamenting, I Was Recording It–Oshiomhole Revealed

Senator Adams Oshiomhole has spoken out after a heated incident at Lagos airport involving Air Peace airline. The senator claimed he stood up for regular Nigerians who were being unfairly treated by the airline.

In a video shared by Voice TV, according to Oshiomhole, several passengers were told to pay extra money to board the next available flight, even though the delay wasn’t their fault. He explained that this wasn’t a case of people missing their flights, but a clear example of passengers being extorted. “In other countries, if an airline can’t carry you, they move you to the next flight without extra charges and even offer you accommodation,” he said.

He shared that many passengers, including women with babies, were crying out of frustration. Unknown to the airline staff, Oshiomhole was recording the situation on his phone. He said he would release the videos to show how badly people were treated. “Unknown to them when those women were crying and lamenting, this country is like, I was recording it,” he said.

Oshiomhole also said that he sent a message about the incident to the Minister of Aviation. He explained that as a senator, his job is to protect and represent Nigerians—not to enjoy special treatment. “They thought if they treated me well, I would keep quiet, but I refused,” he added.

The senator said he has no regrets and believes leaders must not add to the suffering of citizens. I represent Nigerians, and wherever we are, our conduct must match public interest, he concluded.
