Discussions have been sparked by this trend among Muslims. Gumi contends that not everyone is required to perform the Hajj. He emphasized that notable figures in Islamic history, including Sheikh Usman Dan Fodio, achieved amazing things without going on the pilgrimage.
He highlights that true spiritual leadership is more than just visiting Mecca. Gumi said in his speech that he was dedicated to tackling religious and societal issues. He thinks that attempts to limit entry to Mecca’s Grand Mosque will eventually be unsuccessful.
Gumi stated, “I’m not required to perform the Hajj. Despite never having done the Hajj, Sheikh Usman Dan Fodio did a great deal for Islam. Therefore, no, I don’t fear being blacklisted. As they attempt to repair society, we are just assisting them in making amends for their errors.
