It will be recalled that Peter Nwachukwu was recently handed a death sentence by hanging after being found guilty of involvement in the tragic death of his wife, an incident that deeply shocked Nigerians and led to widespread outrage and conversations around domestic violence and abuse.
According to a man identified as Chude on X (formerly known as Twitter), he ran into the convicted husband while visiting the prison and briefly exchanged words with him. Chude revealed that during their conversation, Peter Nwachukwu was overwhelmed with remorse and regret over the events that had transpired, especially the eventual outcome of his trial and sentencing.
Sharing his experience on X, Chude tweeted: “I met this man in Kuje prison, had a brief chat with him, he was full of regrets and remorse. So unfortunate it ended this way for him.”
