
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved a major reshuffle involving the heads of three core education boards.
Naija News reports that the directive, which takes immediate effect, was announced in an official statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The shake-up affects the Board for Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE), the State Secondary Education Board (SSEB), and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), with new leaders appointed and existing chairpersons reassigned.
Dr. Maureen Osaro Ekhoragbon, who has been serving as Chairperson of the BTVE, has been transferred to the State Secondary Education Board (SSEB), where she now assumes the role of Chairman.
Barrister Onomen Goodness Briggs, until now the Chairman of SUBEB, has been named the new head of the BTVE.
Meanwhile, Omonzane Ebanehita Sonia, previously in charge of the SSEB, has been moved to the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), where she will serve as Acting Chairperson pending legislative confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
According to the government, the realignment is designed to reinforce leadership across the three major education boards and enhance their capacity to deliver results.
