But Chinedu Eze, the ex-offender, described how they were cruelly abused while in police custody. He further disclosed that after his client surrendered the ghost due to the torture, the policemen came up to him and asked for his assistance. After this, the authorities ordered him to provide a false testimony against the deceased person’s escort. He quickly refused, not realizing that his refusal would have serious repercussions. In a sudden change of events, he was charged with murder and arraigned at the court. He made an unsuccessful attempt to defend himself.

As a result, he was imprisoned for fourteen years for a crime he did not commit, and his fiancée had already married another man and had four children before his release.
