In the video, Obieze said, “I live in Benin and I only have an ID card. I don’t have an ECOWAS passport.” “I am not a doctor from the area. To further distance himself from the charges, he continued, “As I speak to you now, I am homeless.” Obieze clarified that his current situation is severe, implying that he does not have a permanent residence and does not participate in any ritualistic or spiritual activities.

Since then, the video has gone viral and generated a range of responses on the internet.
