In a Channels Television televised interview, Governor Eno explained why he officially sided with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that he preferred clarity than conflicting loyalties. He defended his collaboration with the APC-led federal administration by saying, “Let me be clear: I support the president because I understand the challenges he inherited, not ones he caused.”

Governor Eno maintained that unclear allegiances are not permitted by his political beliefs. I’m not the type to take sides. It contradicts everything I hold dear. I cannot be a member of one party and support the leadership of another,” he said. He compared his direct political style to that of Nyesom Wike, pointing out that the former governor of Rivers is renowned for his aggressive and unrepentant demeanor. “Wike has the guts to question the current quo because of his fearlessness. I don’t. Eno clarified, “I’m more reserved and driven by conviction rather than conflict.

He presented his choice as a deliberate one based on political integrity and transparency. “I should be in a position where I can support the president’s objectives without pretending to do so. “I don’t want to work behind closed doors,” the governor declared. Eno denied reports that he is trying to exert command over both parties in secret. Some individuals believe that I’m attempting to play both sides, but that couldn’t be further from the reality. He asked rhetorically, “And even if I were interested, is that so wrong?”

He went on to describe his plan for preserving the PDP’s integrity in Akwa Ibom State, stressing the need of not leaving the party to opportunists. “We’re not abandoning the PDP to allow others to seize control and turn it into a weapon against us. He warned that it would not occur. Governor Eno emphasized that in order to prevent outside intervention, the local PDP infrastructure will continue to function even though he is changing loyalties. “The structures that have previously been put in place by congresses ought to be preserved. This will guarantee continuity and stop outsiders from taking advantage of the circumstance,” he said.

He concluded by emphasizing that long-term progress depends on preserving political equilibrium and stability in the state. “Our greatest strength is our unity. We have peace here while other states struggle with instability. In order to concentrate on development and prevent setbacks brought on by instability, we must cultivate it,” he said. Listen to what he has to say: “We will not allow thieves to take over the PDP and use it against us. Therefore, anyone who believes that we will accomplish that is in for a surprise.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
